Metrorail
Metrorail, operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), currently serves 86 stations throughout the metro area on 106 miles of track, much of it underground. This system consists of five color-coded lines: blue, green, orange, red, and yellow. The lines intersect at various points, making it possible for passengers to transfer between trains and travel anywhere on the system.
There are currently 15 Metrorail stations in Prince George's County:

MARC Train
MARC Train operates three lines, connecting riders from as far as Perryville in northeast Maryland, through Washington, D.C., and as far west as Martinsburg, West Virginia. Along the three routes, MARC Train makes over 40 stops at popular destinations including Penn Station, BWI Airport, and Union Station. In Prince George's County, MARC Train stations are located in:

- Seabrook
- Riverdale

Light Rail
Light Rail travels from Baltimore County's Hunt Valley corporate, hotel, and shopping complex, through the heart of downtown Baltimore's shopping, sightseeing, dining, and entertainment districts, past Oriole Park and M&T Bank Stadium at Camden Yards Sports Complex to Cromwell Station/Glen Burnie in Anne Arundel County. Service is also available to BWI Airport and Amtrak's Baltimore Penn Station.

Virginia Railway Express
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is a transportation partnership of the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC) and the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC). VRE provides commuter rail service from the northern Virginia suburbs to Alexandria, Crystal City and downtown Washington, D.C.
